Ozzy Osbourne To Embark on Farewell Tour In 2018
Ozzy Osbourne has revealed his upcoming world tour will be his last. With Zakk Wylde on guitar, Ozzy will begin the farewell tour in 2018 and finally wrap up the trek in 2020.
No need to mourn the loss of Ozzy’s touring machine just yet — you’ll have the next three years to catch metal’s Prince of Darkness live in concert. The first batch of cities (with some venues) have been revealed for May 2018 with a run of South American shows before hitting Russia and Europe in June and July.
”People keep asking me when I’m retiring,” Osbourne says in a statement. ”This will be my final world tour, but I can’t say I won’t do some shows here and there.”
This announcement comes just months after Black Sabbath completed their ”The End” tour, capping off a legendary career with packed arena gigs.
In addition to Wylde on guitar, Ozzy will be surrounded by Blasko on bass, Tommy Clufetos on drums and Adam Wakeman on keys.
Details on the North American leg of Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell tour will be revealed in 2018, so stay tuned for that news once it breaks.

Sex Pistols Legend Paul Cook on First New Professionals Album in 36 Years
It’s been a long 36 years since British punks the Professionals have written a new album. Thankfully, What in the World is out now and Sex Pistols legend Paul Cook dropped by our studio with guitarist Tom Spencer to chat about the new record.
After the dissolution of the Sex Pistols in 1978, the surviving band members all went off to form new projects. Guitarist Steve Jones and drummer Paul Cook started the Professionals, a working class punk band that experienced moderate success in the U.K. before disbanding in 1982. Cook resurrected the band in 2015 and finally put out a new record this year.
What in the World showcases a ton of cameos from rock royalty like Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, Def Leppard’s Phil Collen and The Clash’s Mick Jones. ”I’m good friends with The Clash,” Cook says. ”The whole punk movement, everyone thinks it was all buddies together going out and drinking and all that stuff. It wasn’t really like that, it was all pretty competitive, really, back in the day. When we meet up with all those guys who were in bands, there is an affinity with everyone, like war stories.”
The Professionals also paid tribute to both David Bowie and Lemmy Kilmister with the track ”Going, Going, Gone.” ”Lemmy was always a feature around the pubs in London. Everyone knew Lemmy,” Cooks remembers. ”He was a big punk fan, Lemmy. [Motorhead] created a new style of metal as well, with the speed, punky, metal stuff.”
